Situated between the long dried up rivers of Lanello and Lavino is the Italian town of Roccamorice, where our brewer's family is from. A special place calls for a special beer. A hazy IPA with Azacca, Eclipse, HBC-630, and Mosaic hops for a beer that tastes like a bowl fresh berries. Chef's kiss! Bellissima!

What You’ll Love About It

We've worked with our hop suppliers to source the most berry forward hops we could find, or as Bob the hop guy told us, "a beer that smells like you just cracked open a bag of fresh berries."

How It's Made

This one began with our favourite blend of Canadian barley, oats, and wheat. The whirlpool featured only one of our selected hops, with the others all hitting the dry hop at our now-typical ridiculous level of 1.5kg per hectolitre.

Why Is It Called Lanello?

Andy, our brewer, hadn't yet had a chance to name a beer. Where his family came from in Italy is a town and comune in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo, central Italy. Its distinctive shape is created by the imprint of the Lavino and Lanello rivers, both of which have dried up, and given our affinity for naming beers after bodies of water, it was a bit of a no-brainer this time around.

How To Enjoy It

When you need to simply close your eyes, forget about the stresses of the day, and sip on something so delightful you're transported to a better frame of mind. At 7-10° Celsius.
